The guided imagery section is another letdown. Some reviewers say her voice is soothing, however I do not think it is soothing in the least, in fact it is downright annoying. I found myself mentally arguing with the author while I listened. Ms. Naparstek pronounces her consonants in a "hard" fashion, especially starting words. This often makes a speaker easier to understand, but it isn't soothing. After awhile it is rasping. Unfortunately, the CD does not include a sample for the customer to listen to prior to purchase. Here on Amazon I can listen to a 30 second sample of a song before I buy it, but I cannot listen to a sample of this CD. I wonder why it was not set up this way? Was Ms. Naparstek trying to disguise the fact that her voice is bothersome?
